IASSF is an annual forum that brings together representatives of Academies from all over the world to discuss challenging issues in science and
technology and also it is designed to provide a platform for a wide range of scientists around the world, where they can engage in inter-disciplinary
interaction, share their ideas and discuss pressing scientific issues. KAST has hosted an annual academic forum to discuss the global trends of
cutting-edge science and technology. The aim of the Forum is to share the latest scientific research findings among eminent scholars in a variety of
fields from all over the world and to promote discussion of a strategy for sustainable development with the help of science and technology.
The forum is a two-day event, composed of two different parts: the Inter-Academy Plenary Panels and the Parallel Sessions of Basic Science. We cordially invite Science Academy Presidents or Vice-Presidents to the Inter-Academy Plenary Panels and eminent guest speakers to parallel sessions.
Since its inception in 2012, IASSF has covered a variety of themes including “Innovation and Sustainability,” “Women in Science,” “Science for Creative Economy,” “Global Cooperation in Science and Technology,” and “Earth, Space, Human and Future.”
The 2017 IASSF will be held under the theme of “Science and Technology in Health Care.” Under the main theme, sub-themes for the Inter-Academy plenary panel sessions and the parallel sessions are as follows:
